The article on Vocal technique should NOT be merged into the Vocal pedagogy article. As I have explained to college students who miss this distinction many times, pedagogy is the subject for people who TEACH singing, while Vocal technique is for people who want to LEARN to sing. I disagree. It is almost impossible to talk about either subject seperately and I personally feel they work better under one article than put into two. Vocal technique largely developed through the observations and practices of vocal pedagogists and different theories within vocal technique arise out of different vocal pedagogical approaches, philosophies, and positions. I definitely understand that there is a difference between the two (I myself am a vocal pedagogist and opera singer) but to talk about them seperately just doesn't make sense to me. For instance, diverging views on the vocal techniques related to vocal resonation and "register breaks" can really only be understood when one presents the differing perspectives within vocal pedagogical theory.
