Mobile App
In 2011, Xero released the Xero Touch mobile app for iOS devices. Shortly after, Xero Touch was released for Android.

In addition to the Xero desktop features, Xero Touch users can dial customers by tapping phone numbers in the app and upload expense information via a receipt photo.[1]

Offices The global headquarters for Xero is located in Wellington, New Zealand.[2] An additional New Zealand office is located in Auckland.

The Australia headquarters was established in Melbourne in 2011. Additional offices opened in Canberra and the Surry Hills neighborhood of Sydney in 2012.

The United Kingdom headquarters officially opened in the London suburb of Milton Keynes in 2012.

The U.S headquarters is located in San Francisco, with additional offices in Los Angeles and Denver. 21:56, 9 September 2013 (UTC)Nebluefc (talk)

I've added the mobile apps release and trimmed some unsourced promotionalism and editorializing. Do we have a better source (like a press article) regarding the company going public? The link provided didn't seem to actually have any information on it, such as the date it went public.
I don't think we need any offices information besides what goes in the infobox, which has parameters for HQ, number of locations and area served. CorporateM (Talk) 19:10, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Can info on countries of operations be added? Not sure I can do it, without edits being reverted.Nebluefc (talk) 22:29, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you have a conflict of interest, propose your changes with the tag {{edit COI}} at the top of the section. I have done this in the section below. ~

History Xero is listed on the NZX on June 5, 2007 after a NZ$15 million IPO.[3] On November 8, 2012, it was listed on the Australian stock exchange.[4] Nebluefc (talk) 19:30, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Board of Directors includes Graham Shaw and Sam Morgan, the founder of New Zealand-based auction site TradeMe. The Board of Advisors includes Andy Lark, the Global Vice President of Enterprise Marketing at Dell. [5]

In July 2011, Xero acquired Australian online payroll provider Paycycle for a mixture of cash and shares totaling NZ$1.9 million. The acquisition allowed Xero to integrate payroll into their Australian product offering.[6]

In January 2012, Xero acquired online job, time and invoice management solution WorkflowMax for cash and shares totaling NZ$4.6 million.[7]

In July 2012, Xero acquired Spotlight Workpapers for a mixture of cash and shares totaling $800,000.[8]

Product Over 200 3rd-party software vendors have built Xero add-ons. [9] Xero supports multiple tax rates and currencies[10]

Xero is an unified ledger accounting application. Traditional desktop accounting software requires accountants and bookkeepers to work in two separate ledgers – one on their hard drive and the other on their client’s hard drive. This method requires manually data entry and often leads to inconsistencies between the two ledgers. Xero hosts one, unified ledger in the cloud for each account, allowing accountants and their client to edit the same ledger at the same time, from different internet-connected computers and mobile devices.[11]

Infobox update request

Hi editors, I'm JT and I work for Xero. I've spent some time learning about Wikipedia policies, especially regarding conflict of interest editing and I'm going to do my best to make sure I follow all the rules. To that end, I thought I'd propose a minor edit to infobox to update our employee numbers. We've got 4,187 employees now, as is noted on page 18 of this report. I know that report is a primary source, so I'm also including this less specific Fortune source. Maybe together this is enough to update the infobox?

I will acknowledge that others in the past have updated this article directly. However, since Xero became familiar with Wikipedia's conflict of interest rules, I won't make any edits to the article myself. Thank you in advance for your help! JT at Xero (talk) 21:08, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request removal of NZX 50 companies of New Zealand tag at the bottom of the page

Hi editors, I'm JT and I work at Xero. I'd like to propose an update to this page please. At the very bottom of the page (below 'External links'), there is a tag stating that Xero is part of the NZX 50 companies of New Zealand. Xero is no longer listed on the NZ Exchange (NZX). Here is an announcement from the NZX about Xero delisting from the NZX [1] NZX. I know this is a primary source, so I'm also including this media source on [2] BusinessDesk. Hopefully this is enough to get this tag removed from the page, please let me know if you need any further sources to support this. Thanks! JT at Xero (talk) 06:44, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thanks for bring this to our attention. gadfium 08:30, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adding 2021 subscribers

Hi editors, I'm JT from Xero. I'd like to propose an edit to the History section please: At the end of the section, could you please add in 'In 2021, Xero announced it had over three million subscribers globally.'

I'm including two sources to support this: [3] AFR and [4] ZDNet

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - thank you! JT at Xero (talk) 00:04, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox update request - FY22 results

Hi editors, I'm JT and I work for Xero. I'd like to propose a few edits to the infobox so that it's up-to-date with our FY22 financials. Our 2022 revenue is $1.1 billion. Our net income is -$9.1 million. Our employee numbers are 4,784. These figures are noted on pages 4, 71, and 5 of our annual report respectively.

I know that report is a primary source, so I'm also including these RNZ and NZ Herald media sources. Is this enough information to update the infobox? Thanks in advance! JT at Xero (talk) 05:49, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Done. There's enough other references in the infobox footnotes that adding the FY22 Annual Report should be sufficient.—Jon (talk) 04:42, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jonathanischoice: Thank you for that - however the net income should be -$9.1 million, not -$9.8 million. Could you please correct this? Thanks again JT at Xero (talk) 23:03, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Update request to Acquisitions and partnerships page

Hi editors, I'm JT and I work for Xero. I'd like to suggest an update to the Acquisitions and partnerships section to include two more recent acquisitions:

In November 2021, Xero acquired inventory management provider Locate Inventory for US$19 million source and in December 2021, Xero announced it was acquiring Canadian tax software provider, TaxCycle, for CAD$75 million source.

Please let me know if you need any further info - thank you! JT at Xero (talk) 23:01, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reversal of product section removal

Hi editors, I'm JT and I work at Xero. I noticed that the entire "Product" section of this page was removed recently. I'd like to ask the editors to consider reinstating this section as it does explain what the Xero product is and seems to be quite key information for this page. If you'd like to suggest some improvements to this section I'd be happy to help. Thanks in advance JT at Xero (talk) 05:47, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the products section was removed with edit Special:Diff/1098739606 by FunIsOptional. @FunIsOptional, are you okay if the products section is reinstated? CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 06:29, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@CX Zoom: Hey there, I removed it as it was written like an ad (in hindsight I should've explained that in the edit summary) but I don't have any objection to it being reinstated. Fun Is Optional (talk) 08:50, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @FunIsOptional and @CX Zoom - happy for you to tweak it if you think it sounds promotional but if we could please get the section reinstated that would be great - I think it's important that the page states what the product actually is. Thanks very much in advance JT at Xero (talk) 00:56, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @FunIsOptionaland @CX Zoom, just checking in if this section could please be reinstated? Thank you! JT at Xero (talk) 01:57, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@JT at Xero: Have just reinstated it similar to how it was when I removed it. I added some archive links to the dead citations. Should be satisfactory. Thanks! Fun Is Optional (talk) 06:10, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of 'multiple issues' banner on page

Hi editors, I'm JT from Xero. I would like to work with an editor to remove the "multiple issues" banner at the top of the page. Regarding the "undisclosed payments" banner, since this banner was added last year I've familiarised myself with Wikipedia policies, especially regarding conflict of interest editing, and I'm aware I'm not able to make direct edits myself. Several editors have reviewed this page since this time and have helped me to make updates. I would like to kindly request that an editor reviews these banners and suggest any updates or changes required in order to have the "advertisement" banner removed. Thanks very much JT at Xero (talk) 05:18, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've sorted out the promotional language and removed the template. E James Bowman (talk) 04:56, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect CEO update

Hi there, Santanahenry1996 has updated this page naming "Barrick Rothschild" as incoming CEO, which is incorrect. Could somebody please reverse this update? It should be Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, who was previously listed correctly. I see this editor has attempted several misleading updates today which were rolled back by a bot but this one has been missed. I have a conflict of interest so I don't make edits to this page directly. Thanks very much in advance JT at Xero (talk) 22:54, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

FY23 updates

Hey there, I work at Xero and as such do not make updates to this page myself. We announced our FY23 financial results today so I'd like to request an update to the infobox please. Here's our annual report which I believe is an acceptable source based on a previous infobox update request. Please let me know if you need any further supporting evidence. Most of these figures can be found on page 2, with total equity and total assets on page 89, and employees on page 26. Here is a media article from Stuff reporting on the results too.

Revenue

NZ$1.399 billion (2023)

Operating income

NZ$57.3 million (2023)

Net income

NZ$-113.5 million (2023)

Total assets

NZ$2.49 billion (2023)

Total equity

NZ$1.053 billion (2023)

Number of employees

Update to page after H1FY23 earnings announcement

Hi editors, I work at Xero so I don't make edits to this page myself. I would like to request a few edits to bring the page up to date after our half year earnings announcement this month. Could you please consider the following edits:

- Under 'Key people', please remove Rod Drury. He is no longer a director (he can remain under the 'founders' section), source: Stuff
- Financial updates (Source: Xero H1FY24 Interim report which I believe is an acceptable source based on WP:ABOUTSELF).
Total assets (p. 25)

NZ$2.65 billion (H1FY24)

Total equity (p. 25)

NZ$1.185 billion (H1FY24)

Number of employees (p. 18)

4,242 (H1FY24)

Please note, I haven't suggested updating the other full year figures as they wouldn't reflect an accurate increase or decrease as it would be half year figures comparing to full year figures.
- Under 'History', suggest updating text referring to Rod to: "... replacing Rod Drury who remained on the board as a non-executive director until July 2023." (same source as above)
- I respectfully ask that the 'Weaknesses' section be removed entirely, as this is very subjective (no software can service every business and as such the fact Xero is built for small and medium businesses, and is not suitable for large business should not be considered a weakness). The quoted source is one of many comparison pieces published by various publications throughout the year and I dont believe this section meets WP:5P2.
- Under 'Acquisitions and partnerships', please reword the section about Waddle to: In March 2023 Xero announced it was exiting the Waddle business. In September 2023, Commonwealth Bank of Australia announced its venture-scaling arm, x15ventures, entered an agreement to acquire Waddle. Primary source: Commbank Secondary source: Business News Australia
Thank you very much in advance and please let me know if you have any questions. JT at Xero (talk) 03:09, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Page numbers have not been provided for Xero's H1FY24 interim report. Surely, the COI editor does not expect the reviewer to read 38 pages of text in order to verify this information. Please advise. When ready to proceed, kindly change the {{Edit COI}} template's answer parameter to read from |ans=y to |ans=n. Thank you! Regards,  Spintendo  03:21, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies, I overlooked that! Will update accordingly and advise when ready to proceed. Thanks! JT at Xero (talk) 03:30, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Partly done The financials and key people were updated and the Weaknesses section was deleted. The information regarding Waddle was not added to, as it already sufficiently states the end of that app under Xero's control. The information regarding what happened to Waddle after Xero's exit is not germane to the article's topic. Regards,  Spintendo  03:27, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, thank you! JT at Xero (talk) 03:46, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
