Taphrosphys is an extinct
pleurodiran turtle that was discovered Angola, Morocco[1] and the United States.[2] The genus consists of type species Platemys sulcatus (combinatio nova T. sulcatus), T. ippolitoi, T. congolensis, and the dubious T. dares.[2][3]
Discovery
The holotype of Taphrosphys was discovered in New Jersey.[2]
