• I was writing my review. beat me to it. Anway, rephrase "a lack of forward planning for the introduction of Luas Cross City" as it is copied directly + the hook needs more work to be interesting you can add more infromation on what is the status is facing, why it was erected, etc. I will come back with some alternatives later FuzzyMagma (talk) 23:31, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

FuzzyMagma I'd already removed some close paraphrasing by Ww2censor, but I've gone through again and copyedited everything else, so that shouldn't be an issue now. Ww2censor I'd hate to see another longstanding editor get indef blocked for copyvios - there have been too many recently, so please just take care when writing from a source. As for the hook, I can't think of anything else, I wanted to do something about the lanterns but the source didn't bring up anything particularly good. @FuzzyMagma and Ritchie333:: There was no intention to close paraphrase, so good it has been revised. I am going to add some more today. The possible use of the whole block by the Bank of Ireland, before they got the old parliament building they now occupy on College Green, might make an interesting tag. @FuzzyMagma and Ritchie333:I found 2 different high quality versions of a street view engravings showing the east portico and the 3 statues, and have uploaded them here c:Category:George Petrie (artist). @Ww2censor: if you want to include the image then the hook need to changed to reflect that. I would recommending just go with the hook with the image, which you can add to the article FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:41, 29 April 2023 (UTC)

@Ww2censor and FuzzyMagma: I like the spirit of ALT4 but am not sure "chaperoned" is the right word, even if we slot this in to the "quirky" slot. Have revised the corresponding sentence in the article for clarity and would offer another hook on the same idea:

"chaperoned" is indeed quirky and dramatic but ALT5 is also good. @Ww2censor: I had no problem with the photo, it is just the structure of the hook is different when an image is involved. FuzzyMagma (talk) 13:08, 20 May 2023 (UTC)

Richie333, and Soman: Perhaps everyone is content after so long. By way of explanation, I was looking for a synonym to use and thought "chaperoned" fit the bill but am happy to accept another description. ALT5 should work out well with the image added though perhaps the wikilink could be to the "The Famine Queen" instead of "Queen Victoria" as a twist. ww2censor (talk

@Ww2censor: Appreciate the creative thinking, but I'm afraid this is getting further and further away from what any source actually says about College Street, Dublin, specifically. I was hoping the source I added from JSTOR ("The Royal Visits to Dublin") might shed some light, but the only mention of College Street is with regard to the 1868 engraving depicting the Prince and Princess of Wales' visit. (I also uploaded that image to Commons, but it's not particularly high quality.) Cielquiparle (talk) 10:17, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
