This template is used on approximately 4,400 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them.

This template is placed on a talk page to request an edit of the corresponding

page protected with extended-confirmed protection

Usage

Basic usage: {{edit extended-protected}}
Specify pages to be edited: {{|edit extended-protected|First page to be edited|Second page to be edited|...}}
Deactivate a request: yes {{|edit extended-protected|answered=yes}}
All parameters: {{edit extended-protected|First page to be edited|Second page to be edited|Third page to be edited|...|answered=|demo=}}

Parameters

All parameters are optional.

positional parameters – specify pages to be edited. You can add an unlimited number of pages.
answered or ans – set this to "yes", "y", "true" or "1" to mark the edit request as answered. This removes the page from the edit request category.
demo – set this to "yes", "y", "true" or "1" to demonstrate the template. This suppresses categories and namespace checks.

This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, that is, specify what text should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y".

The edit may be made by any extended confirmed user. Remember to change the |answered=no parameter to "yes" when the request has been accepted, rejected or on hold awaiting user input. This is so that inactive or completed requests don't needlessly fill up the edit requests category. You may also wish to use the {{EEp}} template in the response. Consider making changes first to the template's sandbox before submitting an edit request. To request that a page be protected or unprotected, make a protection request.
