Landmarks

Note that by Landmarks, this shouldn't necessarily mean the official mayoral designated landmarks. Places in Chicago that are commonly known such as the presidential towers should be included. Things that should NOT be included are landmarks well known to people in Chicago but unheard of to others outside of Chicago. Landmarks aren't in general geographically isolated. Businesses and money-making establishments should be highly discouraged unless they are a cultural or architectural iconic landmark such as the Wrigley Building. — oo64eva (Alex) (U | T | C) @ 04:50, May 28, 2005 (UTC)

Wrigley Field is already listed under sports so avoid double references and don't include it under landmarks even though it is officially designated as one. — oo64eva (Alex) (U | T | C) @ 04:50, May 28, 2005 (UTC)

Standard?

I have asked that Template:New York City use this template as a standard, and I think that if other cities would like their own template that they use this is a guideline. One suggestion that I do have would be to remove the "Public Schools" and make it "Education", covering colleges as well as high schools, public as well as private. • It should be noted that, in Illinois, each school district may govern more than one school. In this case, the schools aren't separate legal entities. Even though the facilities may be separate, they are still part of one entity--the same school district. There are also different types of districts. For example, not only are there school districts; but there are also community college districts. Chicago Public Schools is the third largest school district in the nation. Metro area

Instead of the link being [[Chicagoland|Counties of Chicagoland]], I changed it to [[Chicagoland|Metropolitan Area]]. Feel free to rewrite the link. I just think the link should be more varied than just "Counties." --- Dralwik|Have a Chat My "Great Project"

Organizations headquartered in Chicago

You may want to include a list of organizations headquartered in the Chicago area, both profit and non-profit. Examples would be Sears for profit and the Institute of Food Technologists for non-profit. Chris 01:36, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please fix the upper case on "Gangs", "Politics", and "Timeline"?

It should be lower case consistently for entries inside parentheses.
