Moving soundtracks to their own section.

As we have a section for songs from Suicide Squad, it makes no sense to include the soundtrack albums with the films, which interrupts the progression of the film series, better to consolidate the soundtrack albums and the songs in their own section. --

DCEU v DCU

Shouldn't everything after Aquaman be moved to a new "DCU" page? Gunn is breaking continuity, the series is being developed by a new studio (DC Studios only just came into existence) and Gunn has indicated he wants it to be called the "DCU". Gunn's films are no more "DCEU" than The Batman or Joker are. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ben349 (talkcontribs) 04:25, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DCU

Until at least five DCU projects begin filming (

WP:NENAN), the DCU will not be eligible for its own navbox. Given it is a soft reboot of the DCEU and technically shares the same continuity, I think we should rename the header of this template to DC Extended Universe and DC Universe, or DC Studios like the drafts navbox (in which case we would have to add in Elseworlds projects as well, which may bloat the template). I think it is best to keep the DCEU and DCU navboxes separate. I would support having a DC Studios navbox that covers DCU and confirmed Elseworlds projects until there is enough of those for them to have their own navboxes. We could probably make that now since we would have links to DC Studios, DCU, The Penguin (plus maybe the existing projects listed in the Elseworlds section?), and related links to the DCEU snd Peacemaker. - adamstom97 (talk) 20:06, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with adam that a DC Studios template would be best to organize the mainspace articles that fit under that. Trailblazer101 (talk) 22:36, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If there is to be a DC Studios template, I think the four upcoming DCEU films should be included as well. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:40, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
They should, and I think we could put those under a "Continuation from the DCEU" section of sorts. Trailblazer101 (talk) 18:49, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done: {{DC Studios}}. I'm torn on whether to put DC Universe (franchise) on an empty row or as an |above= link. Also torn on whether to include character articles, but not doing so for now to avoid too much overlapping with the DCEU navbox. InfiniteNexus (talk) 16:49, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I believe DC Universe should be an above link for now until we have articles for it in the mainspace to avoid a blank space. I think for characters, we should wait on those until they actually appear in the DC Studios productions. Ones such as Peacemaker could qualify, but I don't think they should be put in just yet. Trailblazer101 (talk) 16:52, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved the link. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:02, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@InfiniteNexus sorry, isn't it better to move DC Universe in the "Other" section of the navbox? Redjedi23 (talk) 11:07, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no "Other section", only "Related". The DCU should not be in "Related". InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:46, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think Redjedi is talking about this DCEU template. Trailblazer101 (talk) 19:12, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. In that case, I think it should stay in |above=. "Other" contains franchises that are tangentially connected to the DCEU. The DCU is a soft reboot of the DCEU, sharing the same continuity. InfiniteNexus (talk) 22:58, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
