Wlinks to other roster templates

I didn't intend for the "see also"s to be a "page of links". They are quite useful to have on each of the three roster pages in order to navigate between the 3 very-similar pages. When a player is added or removed from the roster, the other template needs to be updated and potentially the all-time roster needs to be updated. There is no harm in wrapping them around <noinclude> tags. It's very similar to the documentation that comes with nearly all other templates on Wikipedia in the sense that if a user is looking at one of the pages, there's a good chance they'd want to visit the other two also. — X96lee15 (talk) 01:43, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brandon Inge

With Inge being the everyday catcher someone needs to move him from infield to catcher. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.197.204 (talk) 21:41, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When the Tigers roster lists him as a catcher. JustSomeRandomGuy32 (talk) 21:44, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

mlb.com roster vs depth chart

Let's discuss this here instead of reverting. The depth chart linked from the template is more accurate (at least in this case) than the roster linked from the template. That's not an opinion; it can be proven by looking at Aubrey Huff's baseball-reference page. He's played at DH every game he's played for the Tigers.

There's no WP:MLB law that says the templates have to be updated from the roster. The template currently links to the depth chart, so it seems to be that's just as valid a reference as the roster. It's not like I'm changing this template based on something I saw when I watched the game. It comes from a verifiable reference.

I don't know (or care) about other MLB templates, so I'm not going to update them. I just want this template to be as correct as possible. — X96lee15 (talk) 04:37, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
