Convert to bottom box?

Would anyone have any objection to converting this box from a sidebar to one that goes at the bottom of the article? I think that converting it would lead to far less crowding at the top of the articles it's on, as right now we have a lot of pages with images, and it makes it look less than elegant. Oh, and I'll handle moving the template to its new proper location if it changes. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:30, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK by me Fireproeng 23:33, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. we'll have a lot less crowding of images at teh top. Thanks a lot. KeepOnTruckin Complain to me | my work here 00:03, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So what do you think?

I've finished the conversion. What do you think? SchuminWeb (Talk) 00:47, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing about PFP? --Achim 05:46, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At this point, I'm more concerned about the design than what's in it. We can discuss content later. SchuminWeb (Talk) 10:22, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. does it have to be the blue color? how about a firey looking color? But yes, when its good, lets discuss content. KeepOnTruckin Complain to me | my work here 21:04, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Blue is the standard color for one of these things. That's partly why I kept the Wheelock horn in there. SchuminWeb (Talk) 20:02, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Military

Why the strange over-emphasis on residential fire-safety? A fire on a submarine is a much more urgent hazard. --Connel MacKenzie - wikt 01:21, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you know of articles on military fire safety, they certainly can be added to the template. Note that the term "fire control" has a different meaning in many military contexts, as compared to civilian usage. Reify-tech (talk) 03:40, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Passive protection needs expansion?

Should there be a section on passive protection, listing articles such as:

"Fire prevention" measures should also be linked to from this template. Reify-tech (talk) 19:44, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganization and expansion

I have reorganized and more than doubled the number of articles covered by the Fire Protection navbar template. As you review the articles, you may notice that some of them partially overlap or appear to be redundant. Part of the purpose of this template is to reveal these overlaps, and also any gaps in coverage. Do not remove apparently-redundant articles from this template. Instead, tag the articles themselves for merge or deletion, as appropriate. Only after the changes are complete should you remove the now-obsolete articles from the template.

Suggestions and further updates are welcome! Reify-tech (talk) 03:40, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
