WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state) To-do:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Change icon to Georgia flag

I felt it necessary to change this icon from a portrait of Jimmy Carter to the Georgia state flag. As to the selection of Jimmy Carter in particular, many people may have no idea who he is. Plus, Jimmy Carter is more recognizable to most people as a US President than a Georgia politician. Lastly, on the suitability of personal portraits in general, there's a high chance that this stub will appear on pages with other portraits, and thus create confusion about the association between the two. Thus I've replaced it with the present Georgia state flag, a symbol suitably representative of Georgia state politicians. The Crow 17:44, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone changed to a photo of Saxby Chambliss. As before, I believe few non-Georgians would immediately recognize any Georgia politicians, thus the flag is a better choice for this template. The Crow 23:47, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
