Liberty Island
Liberty Island is NOT a neighborhood in Manhattan! Editing now. Er (talk) 08:23, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Manhattan Lower West Side
Hello, I am sorry to bother you, but I thought I should explain my recent editing of the

huge space usage
This template is extremely inefficient in using its space, with every hood in a new line. I think this appeared in this edit here: [1] Why was this done? Peter S. 18:53, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Does each neighborhood appear on their own line when transcluded into a page? When I currently view the template I see about 10 lines with about 8 neighborhoods per line... if you are just talking about the wiki markup, that is just to make editing the template easier. If you are talking about how the template actually looks, would you mind letting us know which browser and operating system you are using to view the page? It could be a browser bug and I'll do my best to correct for it. PaulC/T+ 19:17, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Gramercy Park
Gramercy Park strikes me as not belonging in the template - it's not anything close to a neighborhood, it's a private park. Certainly the article belongs on the site, but I just feel like it should be taken out of the template.
East Harlem
Groups?
I'm thinking of reorganizing this template into groups for uptown, midtown, downtown, etc., with smaller areas grouped by the bigger areas. Make senese? --Muboshgu (talk) 18:33, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Italian Harlem
This is listed as a distinct neighborhood. However, as the article explains, it has been supplanted by Spanish Harlem. Therefore I am taking the liberty of removing this from the template. ScottyBerg (talk) 20:45, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Kips Bay is on the East Side
Kips Bay is on the East Side (not the West Side). 209.212.5.67 (talk) 20:02, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Former neighborhood
Added the former neighborhood of Seneca Village, which was demolished to create part of Central Park. ~ Quacks Like a Duck (talk) 01:57, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
Getting rid of thumbnails
The WP:Media Viewer carousel for articles using this template seems to include images of East village, Times Square, and Hudson Heights, because these images are included as thumbnails in this template. Since these images are basically not relevant except on articles of those three neighborhoods, can we get rid of the image attribute? --Saledomo (talk) 20:15, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
