I think this template should include the year longside the roman numeral as per:

Not a bad idea, but would you suggest that we add years next to Seasons, Season results and Grand Finals, or just Seasons? Either way could result in the page looking unnecessarily cluttered and/or unbalanced. Bear in mind that we couldn't add years to the greyed-out "Grand Finals" I & II, which would cause an imbalance. When i get a bit more time i'll create a couple of mock-ups to see how they look (unless someone beats me to it).Julianhall (talk) 16:02, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK, three different variants added below. What do you think?

I'm still not convinced. If we were to go with one of them, it'd be nice to add the nowrap tags that they use in the SuperBowl template. I'm not doing that unless we get a consensus on this first though.Julianhall (talk) 21:16, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This template didn't have the season results and grand final links there before so one option is to remove them but I think there is an advantage to navigation by retaining them.

On the third example year spacing could be added with transparent years for I and II. Perhaps this could be done for all the years on the two lower rows (results and gf) so that they keep in line with the higher row (seasons) but the years are only visible on that top row.
