Symbols vs marks

@

Thewolfchild: I saw that earlier on you initially made the same change and then reverted yourself – was wondering if you'd be able to provide your reasoning or preference for this topic? Garuda28 (talk) 19:45, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply

Hello Garuda28, I hope you are doing well and staying safe.
I understand your point of view. Is there a way we can be consistent and not use the service symbols for all four services (it was a "mixed bag" before)? By the way, the
pinks and greens," the black and gold colored version will now be worn (very cool). In other words, we should find something else to use for the Army one for that Army Star is now an SSI specifying specifically Army HQ soldiers. --McChizzle (talk) 20:45, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply

I did that with the intention of self-reverting, just to have the the two versions to link to, ie: here's the "Seals" version and here's the "Symbols" version (as they were then, who knows if they'll be screwed with after), just to help cut down on any confusion if there was a discussion. Sometimes it's helpful. No other reason. If I had to choose, I'd go with the seals, mainly for consistency and continuity, but I'm not heavily invested in that direction. I see your point of view on this as well. -

@McChizzle: Same to you – it has been a while. My understanding is that the Star logo will also be remaining as the logo for the Army at large (the Space Force appears to be doing the same thing with their delta (HQ patch and symbol). That being said, it looks like consensus here is to use the discs, so I’ve got no issues going with that – just wanted to make sure we’re all on the same page first.
