Hi JBL, thank you for providing the introduction, which was very helpful. Although I have edited such topics, this is my first time stumbling across a contentious formatting question within Wikipedia so I appreciate the clarity.

To educate myself, I have read WP:Contentious topics now as well as Civility in infobox discussions#Remedies and 2013 infobox discussion Talk:Frank Matcham/Archive 1. I now have a clearer understanding of the process, though I'll continue to learn more with time.

Additionally, thank you for your suggestion regarding my signature and its encroachment of WP convenience and etiquette. Indeed it was something I set ages ago, in a failed high-school-aged attempt to change my username. I have reinstated my signature to the default and have read WP:Use a custom signature and WP:Changing username.
