Hi! I'm in the middle of making edits, and I had to stop because of over-lapping with your edits. I will take a break, and return later; but if you could hold off making changes while I'm making changes? Otherwise things will get lost. If you want to undo my edits after I am done, that's super ok by me; but doing it at the same time causes confusion.

Sorry I'm slow. I'll be done soon with language suggestions and other: whatever you don't like, you can take out. Ok?

Ok, I've finished copy edit, and removed {in use} tag. And left comments on talk page.
I did change the lead again, per your instructions: thanks!! that really helped. I also tweaked a lot in section on Japanese version of Sans, using the source for guidance: I think I got it all right!? And I did add some white space throughout, to break a little the wall of text. Feel free to change that, or anything—just trying to help make this article more super.
I did also note that the dates in the citations (starting about no. 40) are in the wrong format (not mm-dd-yy but mm-yy-dd or yy-dd-mm). If I have time, later, I may go back to try and fix dates; but this didn't stop the GAN process before, so maybe not that important for now.

Good, you saw my little edit, after the fact. Also made another 2 minor fixes, b/c I was told, on talk from previous article, that I misunderstood some "standard grammar" issue about semi-colons. My bad.

Also will fix 1 more sentence that's kinda too long, about PSR stuff, but I need to read source again. Want to make easier to understand/ more focused on Sans, not a little mini-lecture. Blah blah blah. Just to make it better, NO MAJOR changes: then I'm out. But not tonight. And the stuff that got added/subtracted in lead looks REALLY good. — Yogabear2020 (N.B. The importance rating for the Video Games WikiProject requires High-Importance characters to be iconic and widely recognized outside of their series. Samus is not at this level, she is not very well-known outside of Metroid and Smash Bros. She is closer to the Mid-Importance criteria, as a protagonist of a popular series.

On the other hand, the Miis easily meet this criteria. The 3DS online shutting down has nothing to do with it. The Miis are iconic to Smash and the Wii series, as well as starring in Tomodachi Life and Miitopia, and being playable in several Mario spinoffs, among other things. They were the first Nintendo characters to get a mobile game, and they are some of the only ones to be pre-installed on Nintendo consoles. Everybody who has played modern Nintendo games knows what a Mii is. Other companies even started to copy Nintendo, like Xbox with the Xbox avatar. QuicoleJR (talk) 22:56, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I won't edit war over this so I'll only do one reversion but I do find a Mid-tier assessment insufficient. She's regarded as one of the most influential female characters, and considered the first female character to star in a video game by many, discounting characters like Ms. Pac-Man due to them being based on another character. @Cukie Gherkin and Greenish Pickle!: I am fine with putting Samus at High-Importance for the main project and task force, and I could be convinced that she is Top-Importance for game characters. I just do not see how she is more iconic than Sephiroth, Goomba, Ganon, Kirby, etc. However, I will not object to her being listed as Top-Importance. They are currently. They are only at the same level because I brought Samus down. She was previously rated at the same level as Mario, Cloud, and Sonic. Like I said above, I am fine if you or Cukie wants to put her back at Top-Importance, I just doubted how iconic she is compared to these other characters. add <nowiki>{{db-author}}<nowiki> to your first image to be speedy deleted. The fact that he removed his appearance also in ''Mortal Kombat X'' is a sign that it kinda needs to be reverted. It's okay I just want to let you know that not just concept but "Appearances" section is also filled with primary sources its either a primary video game source or a book published by Square Enix. There are at least more than 50 primary sources in my guess. It highly relies on primary sources when its come to concept and appearances section. Like look at other video game characters article they don't include that much primary sources. It really needs some secondary sources that's why I ask you if you could do some help. What kind of weird rules btw? I could maybe help you with that. Well, you know Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Video game characters is improving this generation now. Most of the listicles/rankings that does not say valuable stuff or irrelevant ones in the articles (like you're dealing with Mai) now are already removed + Most of non-notable characters ended up being merged and the growing of GA articles within the character articles. Per the notice when creating a review page, the current practice is to not use Level-2 headers (meaning ==this kind==) for GA review pages, and instead use Level-3 headers (meaning ===this kind===) to divide the review into sections.
