Draft

Thank you for your recent contributions, such as

Article Wizard
, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you.

Since this is your first article and you are not yet familiar with the guidelines or wiki markup, drafting would be advised. You could look at the guidelines and other similar articles, and when you are confident that it meets wikipedia's standards for inclusion, you could ask for feedback either from me or from the feedback request page at

WP:FEED. Hope this helps. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 13:31, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply

Manuelcorpas (talk) 13:35, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Thanks very much for your advice. I will create a draft page. Please could you remove the entry I just created?[reply]

Manuelcorpas (talk) 13:44, 3 June 2010 (UTC)It seems that my entry meet all the requirements except the cut and paste. Not sure how to go about this. I'll keep reading.[reply]

I can't remove this myself as only sysops can delete pages, but since it is still marked for speedy deletion it should be removed soon. Since you are the only major contributor, blanking the page means the article can also be deleted under
G7 now, as an implicit request by the only contributor. Let me know if you have any questions about drafting the article. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 13:57, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply

17q21.3 Recurrent Microdeletion

Hi Manuel. I'm an administrator here on WP and I also work at WTSI. Alex mentioned the copyright issues you were having to me today, so I thought I would have a look at it. I think one email to OTRS releasing the copyright of the DECIPHER content should be fine. If you need help drafting that, let me know. When it is approved, it will be important to make sure the OTRS ticket is linked from the talk page of each new article.

I also had a look over your

manual of style
and also dejargonized a few terms that are commenplace for us geneticists, but not always obvious to laypeople. The one section that needs work is the "origin of deletion". Its pretty incomprehensible at the moment, I'm not even sure I fully understand it enough to try and make it clearer!

Finally, to maintain the editing history of your draft, it would be better to

move it to mainspace rather than cut and paste the text across when your OTRS ticket has been approved. That will proably require administrator tools (because the article already exists). I can do that for you if you let me know when it is ready. Otherwise, feel free to drop me a message or email (here or at WTSI) at any time if you need any help or assistance with this project. Good luck! Rockpocket 17:44, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply
]

Thanks very much for your kind offer Rockpocket, and for making the changes. I have already sent the email to OTRS, maybe if you send me an email to my WTSI account I can forward it to you (as I'm not sure who you are ;-)).
I think before I make it public I would like our Clinician Expert to have a look. Also, I would like to know whether it is possible to add in the Infobox disease a link to the correspnding DECIPHER entry. Would this be OK? What would we need to do to add the link? Cheers! Manuelcorpas (talk) 06:05, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've emailed you ;) I've also proposed DECIPHER be added to the infobox, see Template talk:Infobox disease#DECIPHER. I'll give it some time for discussion, to make sure there are no objections. If not, then I'll add the code. Rockpocket 10:23, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Manuel. Your userspace version of
17q21.3 recurrent microdeletion syndrome
has now been moved across to article space, since OTRS has approved the license. For any future DECIPHER syndrome content, make sure the following template is placed on the talkpage: {{ConfirmationOTRS|otrs=2010060410028871|source=https://decipher.sanger.ac.uk/application/syndrome/|license=c}}

Hi Manuel, when you uploaded the COSMIC logo, you used a filename "picture 20" that was already being used for another image. I've reverted the file back to that image and removed the logo from the article. Would you be able to upload it again, using a more specific filename? If you need help, let me know. Rockpocket 12:00, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've uploaded it again myself, to File:COSMIC logo.png. Rockpocket 18:05, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
