Thank you for adding photographs of famous Marathi people.This can be a contentious issue at times and it is good idea to discuss this on Talkpage of the article before adding them.Case in point is Lata Mangeshkar, and sachin Tendulkar.Some people claim them to be of Goan origin, and therefore not Marathi. We both know that Marathi is their first language but on Wikipedia one has the right to challenge anything that is not totally clearcut.I hope you get my point. Thanks. Even though the origin of some people here is from another place, their ethnicity is Marathi. Ex- Mukesh Ambani's origin is Maharashtra or Mumbai but he may be added in Gujarati people.

This page is not for people of Maharashtra but for people who are ethnically Marathi. Also if you check any Wikipedia featured or Good articles on different peoples from around the world, you will not find any galleries of their respective famous people. See here [1] and [2] and If the goal is get to Marathi people page to Good article or featured article status, then I recommend you remove this gallery.I myself had added a lot of images many years ago when I was a new editor but these were deleted later on. Thanks for uploading File:Kothare Vision.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
