Article Review

Hi! Thank you very much for your review on my article, I'm sorry for including terminology that was not impartial. I already removed those terms for the article to be neutral. If you like you can check it out again I would appreciate it. Thank You again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by GaafNahlot (talkcontribs) 03:38, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please adopt me?

Dear Mr Guye-

I feel as though I have been ejected from Titanic and him desperately looking for some flotsam to hold onto.

This is my first attempt at publishing a wiki article. It has gotten more and more convoluted since I started several weeks ago.

I have read all of the guidelines/do's and don'ts/God help you if we catchya's...

Would you please adopt me? I am a very bright intelligent person, a professional writer, self-described a grammar Nazi and vocabulary strumpet. It's just I am tripping myself up on very basic editing efforts that should not in any way be taking me this long for this much effort to figure out. I am frustrated with the tutorials because they seem to endlessly link to other pages. Trying to avoid source editing and keep it basic and simple.

My situation-I was asked to rewrite and update an existing wiki entry. A couple of weeks ago I did. Now I have been asked to add several pictures and expand upon a couple of sections. Somehow, I messed up the source editing, and the article was all catty wompus dis-formatted. a user, via the help desk, assisted me in restoring the article; however it was restored to the original addition, which existed before I joined the project.

Now I am terrified to do anything because I am afraid I will throw the current article into a similar state of disarray. I think I can test edit the article somewhere... my sandbox? so much of the wiki terminology is foreign to me and I am getting frustrated because I can usually grasp a better than average understanding of a program.

My goals are pretty simple for this article; while technically it is my first wiki article, I have a well-written, unbiased, non-advertisement article ready to go. Could you please, pretty please, help me achieve that?

Most sincerely, Kimber O. username: kkimbero wiki article URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DMACK

@
WP:ADOPTERS
. However, I will provide you with some links to Wikipedia help pages. I will post them on your talk page.
Thanks, --Mr. Guye (talk) 03:39, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Kkimbero: Actually, it seems someone else has already posted those links. Also, I've noticed your edits are all in Visual edit. If you are uncomfortable with that, you may want to edit in source mode (click "Edit source" at the top of the page). That is the one I personally am more comfortable with, but maybe it is because I am used to it. I also noticed that you occasionally add "nowiki" markup when you edit. That removes wiki formatting (like from United States to [[United States]]). I would avoid it if you are new.--Mr. Guye (talk) 03:50, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the author of the vast majority of the text of the article and I am aware that it is missing so much biographical information, critical, cultural, and musical analysis and references. If you could let us work on the article for a few weeks, it would stand a much better chance of GA. Gareth E. Kegg (talk) 13:41, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blaxtrast Page

I am quite new to this and was wondering to get input on the faults of the page i created? From what i believe, i was typing in a neutral perspective and not a general. I was wondering if i can receive help? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blaxtrast (talkcontribs) 22:55, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou, but i am curious, for instance on celebrity wiki pages and such, i was trying more to create something in that type of form and not a personal page, any suggestions to the edit to make that page more into that type of form? similar to Skrillex's, I'm not entirely sure how to reference his page threw coding but if you search him through here or on my created page i linked it to his page. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow

Hi. Those 2 arenas are different locations. The Polysports Complex is at the Brgy. Baan Km. 3, and the FSUU Gym is at the J.C. Aquino Ave., both from

. But the references are there also.

I'm curious why you added the peacock template to Sylviidae. The article isn't great, but it doesn't really read like it's trumpeting the importance of the family. Sabine's Sunbird talk 03:16, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Sabine's Sunbird: Removed the "peacock" template. But I added more specific tags within the lead to indicate where there are still problems. --Mr. Guye (talk) 18:31, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, I'll look at that. I'd suggest that the statement about the family being a poorly defined wastebin is neutral. No one really disputed that that was the case, it just existed for a long time because no one really knew what else to do with those species (how all such wastebins arise really).
