Request reason:

I am considering coming out of retirement. I believe the block was hasty. My record of useful edits is there to be reviewed. A reviewer of this request will find some context for and against in the history of this page. —¿philoserf? (talk) 06:25, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 12:10, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Unblock request

Hi Philoserf, I would love if you could rejoin Wikipedia. I see that you tried to request an unblock in September but were denied. Please review the advice given by the reviewing admin. If you have questions or ideas on what it would take to show your understanding of the situation and what you need to do to move forward, maybe we can talk about it? @Philoserf made an enormous mess which created dozens (hundreds?) of hours of busywork for other editors to fix. They completely refused to help with any of the cleanup work, didn't ever indicate that they understood what the problem was, didn't show any contrition, and didn't indicate that they would refrain from causing similar messes in the future. Instead they ignored the problem, ignored conversations about it, and finally stomped away with an "I'm retired now, don't bother me" message. If they want to be unblocked they're going to have to put some effort into it. –jacobolus (t) 01:06, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas!

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. Feel free to take a "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" if you prefer.  :) BOZ (talk) 00:22, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
