Darth Maul's bloodspray

This is proof that Darth Maul's bloodspray was in the ORIGINAL theatrical release of The Phantom Menace. Here's the link, courtesy of Google Groups:

Richiekim 17:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

With relation to this, I should probably expand on the comment on the page to explain that the bloodspray is made more obvious. Lucas even has talked about it explaining that most Jedi cut at a regular pace, thus searing wounds, however Obiwan and Anakin (though not while Vader) both instead of doing it at that pace, their "force" and speed is such that it doesn't sear straight away and leaves blood pouring (the best example of this is the entire series first case of dismemberment in the cantina by Obiwan where there's a highly obvious bloodspray. Initially the show of blood was there but this feature was highly amplified between the initial release and the VHS release and further enhanced still for DVD. I can provide references to Lucas' comments relating to this too. --lincalinca 10:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a Tech Support site for Wii - Maybe you can help me

Hi Richie, I am new here and I was looking for support information about the Wii Console. I could not find in Wikipedia and in the end I found it in a great tech support site that have many consumer electronics products. Its called Fixya and it is a free tech support community. I was wondering if you can help me, I would like to add it to the Wii Entry here in Wikipedia as an external link but I don't have permission to do so... I wrote about it in the discussion but nobody replied. Here is the page for the Wii Technical Support & Troubleshooting page. Let me know what you think. JerryGold 10:12, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Red Sox Uniforms

The Red Sox, much like the Cubs at the Yankees exhibition, wore their practice jerseys, the jerseys they and everyone else have been wearing throughout spring training. The Yankees and Mets were the only team wearing their actual uniforms. As such, we can just wait until Friday, when the Red Sox are in Anaheim, to make a change.--The Silent Wind of Doom (talk) 01:26, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Holy crap! I had originally gone with the blue socks, because low-quality footage of Buckner's error gave me the impression that they wore blue socks with the road uniform in 86. Since the new road gray is based on that design, I thought that the socks would be the same color. When I realized the mistake, but it was brought to my attention that somewhere else had featured blue socks, I figured we might as well just sit tight and wait until the uniform made an appearance. Well, the Sox are playing a game in Anaheim as we speak (or, rather, as I type), and, holy crap, they're wearing blue socks! I seriously thought the blue socks idea was going to be debunked, but the socks that go with the road uniform, or at least the blue alternate, are indeed navy. I guess that clears that up. We can find out about the standard road gray probably tomorrow.--The Silent Wind of Doom (talk) 04:37, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Sheppard

Hello. I notice you have had some edit warring issues in the past, but to have one over a detail like this is silly. I am quite aware that there was a New York Giants baseball team, 50 years ago. There was also a New York Yankees football team 50 years ago, by the way. (I mentioned it later in the Sheppard article). If we were referring to those two teams, it would be necessary to identify their league affiliations, to distinguish them from the modern teams, as I did when I mentioned the football Yankees. When referring to the modern teams, everyone (even non-sports fans) assume you are referring to them unless you specify otherwise. And clogging up sentences (especially leads) with superfluous minutiae is strongly discouraged in the Wiki style manual. I hope you will find the compromise adjustment I made acceptable -- if not, please make your case on the article's talk page instead of changing it again. Thanks! Disambiguation link notification for March 2

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Marvel Studios, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Walt Disney Studios (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

"Gay" vs "homosexual" in Jason Collins

Hi, I noticed that in the

Disney issues

Hello, Richiekim. I'm here to ask you for your assistance in resolving a few matters in some Disney articles. Below, I've provided links to the respective talk pages where the two main contentions are being discussed and a brief description of the issue at hand.

A.

The Walt Disney Studios but simultaneously as an active subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company
.

B. Issue #2 - Whether the studios' distribution unit as a whole or one of that unit's specific film banners (e.g. Disney, Touchstone, etc.) should be identified as the distributor in the respective infobox parameter for all film releases.

I would greatly appreciate your input since neither discussion has gained any traction without there being disagreements and edit reversions erupting every now and then, hindering the chances of a consensus ever being reached. I'm also asking the same from other editors, in an effort to gather as much diverse opinions as possible, in the hopes of reaching a consensus that satisfies every editor's concern. Thank you, ~ Jedi94 (talk) 18:15, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Big Hero 6

Why did you put those marks in the title? Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 22:58, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not re-add redundant information to the article. We already have a section dedicated to casting in the development section which goes into more detail. Instead please come to the article's talk page and discuss why you feel the section needs to stay. Otherwise, you will be reported to administration and possibly blocked. Thank you. Mr. Met

Hi - you undid the edit explaining that the Mr. Met head on display at Citi Field is the second one. As a matter of fact, I work at the stadium and can tell you definitely that the display head is the second one. There is even a sign in the Hall Of Fame explaining so, which is why I decided to correct the article. 24.193.69.119 (talk) 18:53, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Corrections to Template:New York metro area sports venues

  • Hi Richiekim. I write with kind heart in regard to the
List of New York metropolitan area sports teams. I am expanding and connecting both of these contents. I can continue to detail the information to highlight these, or a new template can be made for "New York metro area sports venues used by New York pro teams". I hope that I can collaborate with you in making a more sound and thorough list. Cheers. comment added by NYCWikiKid (talkcontribs) 15:54, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply

From NYCWikiKid user talk page:

NY Metro Area Sports Venues template

Hi NYCWikiKid. As per

WP:REDLINK
, "Although red links to notable topics are permitted in lists and other articles, do not overlink in the mainspace solely for use as an article creation guide. Instead, editors are encouraged to consider Write the article first, or to use WikiProjects or user spaces to keep track of unwritten articles." I have undid your revisions for now. If you want to include the category revisions you have made without the red links, that's fine. Richiekim (talk) 19:51, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Richiekim. First, I wrote on your talk page commencing the dialogue regarding the first undo you did to
    page
you should have read more in detail:
"It is useful in editing article text to create a red link to indicate that a page will be created soon or that an article should be created for the topic because the subject is notable and verifiable. One study conducted in 2008 showed that red links helped Wikipedia grow." "Good red links help Wikipedia—they encourage new contributors in useful directions, and remind us that Wikipedia is far from finished."
With that concluded, the links created were essential on helping Wikipedia grow. Instead of simply clicking on undo for the sake of being right, talking with others in a community that is willing to converse is more ideal because in the end it is not your Wikipedia or mine, it belongs to everyone who wants to learn, share, and communicate. Like I originally stated on your talk page, the original template appears more of a collection of venues in New York City and those in near proximity used by premier teams. However, the template is for sports venues used throughout the New York Metropolitan Area, which represents parts of four states, hence the new list I made being so detailed. I am not interested in engaging some petty tit for tat undo frenzy. I'm interested in placing solid information. Whenever you feel the need to click undo to someone's effort, one which I invested several hours and days to accomplish, the minimum you should do, as a courtesy, is to at least contact the user first and create a useful dialogue. Cheers NYCWikiKid (talk) 22:46, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I take issue with your last statement. I contacted you and gave my reasoning for my edit. Whether or not you agree is your prerogative. In a effort prevent edit warring, I suggest you create a discussion in Template talk:New York metro area sports venues and get input from other editors to come to a consensus about your proposed changes. No hard feelings. Richiekim (talk) 14:33, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • No you did not contact me. You responded to my initial questioning of your actions. The suggestion you are now bringing could have been made before you eagerly undid the work I did. Like I said, a discussion would have been made and I would have worked with you. No hard feelings, but for future reference and the consideration to millions of editors out there, communicate first before you undo extensive work and information. Hey Richie. Would very much like some input from you (as you were a major contributor to the article). I would like to submit the DYK ASAP, and, as Triiiple is on his wikibreak, I thought of a few hooks, but would like your opinion on them, or new ones completely. Thanks so much. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:34, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
