DYK for Toilets in New York City

On

5 April 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Toilets in New York City, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 2006, half a million people used a temporary New York City public toilet sponsored by a toilet paper brand? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Toilets in New York City. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Toilets in New York City), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page
.

Check User??

I am heavily involved at English Wikinews. I am an accredited reporter, Reviewer, Administrator and Bureaucrat. One of our two CheckUser's has pretty much vanished (Cromium). How can I apply for CheckUser status? Do I do it at Meta or at Wikinews? Bddpaux (talk) 15:14, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Bddpaux. Each project manages their own CU appointments, so you really should be asking this on en.wikinews.org. The process for new CU appointments on that project is described at wikinews:Wikinews:CheckUser policy#Appointing local CheckUsers. RoySmith (talk) 15:36, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
