Page Move

Hi SerAntoniDeMiloni. You moved

Michael Ward (British Actor)‎, which you should not have done as there is already a Michael Ward (actor) who is British (and a film actor). When we have BIOs whose names and professions are identical, we use the DOB as the next way to disambiguate the names (we also don't use capitals in the descriptor). See Tom Brown for examples. We are going to have to revert this move back, therefore. If you want to move a page and are unsure of the policy/guidelines around article naming, raise the idea on the Talk Page first to check with others. Thank you. Hi Loksmythe. I will do so in an hour or so. I'm just adding citations now. SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 17:56, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Loksmythe. I've just submitted with a plethora of citations. It would be great if you could have a look. Thanks! SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 18:23, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Loksmythe, I've just made a couple of edits that I hope will remove the note about possible ad-like nature (such as the 'Watch of Presidents'). I've given it a re-read, and would like to note that much of Vulcain's history is steeped in their favour with US presidents and their history of gifting the watches to presidents (alongside their invention of the alarm-watch). Are there any other alterations you would suggest? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 19:09, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

+ I've also added some more reputable sources (such as Bloomberg [1] and Business Insider [2]. Here's another Bloomberg ([3]) and A German National newspaper ([4]). Most of the sources talking about the history say quite similar things, I have just added more news sources so as to not rely too heavily on a single source. Thanks 😃 SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 19:35, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deprodding of Isra Hirsi

I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}} tag from Isra Hirsi, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, proposed deletion is disallowed on articles that have previously been de-prodded, even by the page's creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{proposed deletion}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. File permission problem with File:LeslieGoonewardenePortrait70s.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:LeslieGoonewardenePortrait70s.jpg, which you've attributed to Mr Goonewardene. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:16, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Diannaa. Apologies for that – the file is OTRS pending. I'll add the tag. Thanks, SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 22:18, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SerAntoniDeMiloni, in case you hadn't seen it, the nomination is currently on hold pending image licensing improvements for the images in the article. Please see the nomination template for more information. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 11:30, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that BlueMoonset. I've been speaking to the photo author who's been going through the OTRS, and it seems that he's been having some timing issues. He hasn't received a response to an email reply he sent 5 days ago, and the process seems to be going in circles. Do you have any suggestions on how to get more engagement? I'm hoping to get the DYK through before I start college next week, at which point I'll have quite a bit less time to focus on it. Thanks, SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 11:36, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
SerAntoniDeMiloni, things at OTRS can take a while; I've never quite figured out how it works or how to get more engagement than there has been already. I do, however, think that you need to post about this on the nomination page, including the timing issues (both OTRS and your impending college work). Replaceable fair use File:Latymer Upper School Facade.png

Thanks for uploading File:Latymer Upper School Facade.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to
    Di-replaceable fair use disputed
    |<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 20:19, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for PeopleSound

On 21 January 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article PeopleSound, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that PeopleSound was Europe's most visited music streaming site in 2000, and had offered any artist £100 for each song they uploaded? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/PeopleSound. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, PeopleSound), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}} tag from Silicon Milkroundabout, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Thanks! Edits to Baroness Joanna Shields page

My name is Laura and I work for Joanna Shields, Baroness Shields, a baron, businessperson, and former British politician. The page about her was recently tagged for COI and advert issues due to some poor edits made years ago. I posted here regarding my desire to address the substance of the tags with a re-write or heavy trims, to remove the promotional content. I was hoping you might be willing to chime in on the proposed trims and/or the suggestion for a rewrite. Let me know. Best regards.~~~~ LauTad89 (talk) 07:59, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delta Phi

Delta Phi does *not* prefer to use St. Elmo to the greek letters. Please bring up such a significant change on the talk page. I'm reverting. (Also, the image added is larger than any other similar image for a GLO.Naraht (talk) 17:16, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Naraht; I was just about to do the same. Mr. DeMiloni, over some years we have clarified and standardized our syntax for fraternity and sorority articles. This has been accomplished by a very active group of project editors. Project groups, often populated by editors that are knowledgeable about a particular subject, add value both by their tacit knowledge and their passion for a subject. Good project groups are consistent and not scattershot. Over several days you have offered edits to the Delta Phi article, only that one out of over 3,000 articles we track, all of which edits have been reverted. May I ask your connection with that group? I note you offer regular changes to articles relating to Sri Lanka. Because I don't know much about Sri Lanka, except for the fact that Arthur C. Clark lived there, I would defer to those, like you, who are more knowledgeable about that nation to make all but the most routine edits, such as the correction of typos. Fair? Of course! Thank you for the kind input. I'd been reading several articles on the US educational system after going on a tangent on the University of Virginia, and thought I'd try cleaning up some articles. I saw the St. Anthony Hall article as a GA, and thought I'd try use that template. Of course, happy to make corrections with guidance. I'd note that the image I found seems to represent far better than the old image. SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 18:56, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of

sources with COIs

Thanks @Justiyaya. Might've relied a bit too much on those citations when researching. Will make the appropriate fixes. Many thanks, SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 17:22, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Justiyaya. Would be great to get your thoughts now; I've had a little run through. Thanks. SerAntoniDeMiloni (talk) 13:45, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nicely done! Looking back I misidentified a few sources as being non-independent that were independent, sorry about that. Great improvements on the article and removing the ones that I haven't misidentified, thanks a lot for the fixes :D. In popular culture might work better with a sentence instead of a bullet point, but regardless nice work, happy editing! Justiyaya 14:39, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
