Hello! I miss seeing you around

And surely you miss stuff like Talk:William_Shakespeare#Lead_image? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:07, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gråbergs Gråa Sång: It never ends… It's somewhat ironic that at the same time that was going on we got the latest in the endless string of people arguing about his age.
But thanks for thinking of me. I do miss the nice people here and the interesting discussions (and the less said about the bits I don't miss the better for my blood pressure). I keep meaning to dive back in to Malone to see if I can't get that a little closer to "finished", but IRL mostly only permits me "ADHD time" for wiki work: stuff I can complete in one short burst, and very rarely anything that requires sustained attention. I'll get to it eventually, I'm sure.
In any case, `preciate the note. And do feel free to ping me for any such discussions in the Shakespeare area. Xover (talk) 06:32, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if you want to say something at Talk:The_Merchant_of_Venice#Plot_summary... Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:34, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång: My, aren't you being grumpy this morning? I thought I was the grumpy old man ranting about… stuff…, chasing the interlopers off my lawn, cane in had, and just generally being crotchety. Is there more to it than just some misguided contributor editing with a bit more boldness than their skills actually merit? Xover (talk) 08:17, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I started more pleasant in the previous thread. They DARED to oppose me, of course I'm grumpy. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:22, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That said, thanks for commenting (and the cheerful (?) mega-revert). As I recall it, I first noticed your editing when you wrote a similar-ish comment to an editor who was here to write about his own SAQ-theory (Lewkonorian..?). I was greatly impressed, so I started to ask you questions. Didn't get less impressed. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:35, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Be impressed if I ever manage to express myself concisely. The usual response is to complain of my walls of text. :)
Thank you for the compliment though. It warms the soul on those days when the world is recalcitrant, all uphill, and full of sharp edges. Xover (talk) 08:44, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[1] Socking..? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:21, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not necessarily. It could also just be an opportunistic stirring of the pot. Xover (talk) 13:26, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps you've already seen this:[2]. I started at p141 and read a few pages. Wow. The description of the closing of the play, I'm not sure if I'm sad or grateful I didn't see it. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:36, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it's not stopping:[3]. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 12:34, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Have some Swedish-Norwegian Shakespeare:[4] Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:16, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång: Ooooh! How did I not know about Kyle Kallgren? Given the next five topics voted by his viewers, he's clearly cultivated a pretty smart audience. Xover (talk) 07:31, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a little disappointed the entire film wasn't free on Youtube. This scene [5] is very sweet. Miranda is voiced by Robyn, 10 years old. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:42, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
