Richard Werner Lang (23 March 1922 – 17 June 2013) was a German automotive engineer. He is best known for the design of the Trabant.[1]
Lang was born in the village of

After the war, he returned to what became
VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau in 1958.[1]
Lang was awarded the
National Prize of East Germany in 1954 and 1974. [citation needed
