This is not a valid disambiguation page: all entries are

WP:Partial title matches not known solely as "Jamaat". An alternative to deletion might be a {{Wiktionary redirect}} to wikt:jamaat. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 16:38, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply

  • Delete - no disambiguation needed. Leschnei (talk) 16:44, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep as I don't think there is actually any harm in having this as a DAB, especially as the alternative proposal is a redirect to a wiktionary page which essentially just repeats what the headline in the DAB says. I don't know if
WP:PARTIAL has the same relevance when it comes to arabic, rather than latin. Many of the listed pages seem relatable to the topic, and without a clearly identifiable primary topic article to take it's place, I think the DAB remains the better option. • Comment As the vast majority of the items are related to Islam, I have added it to the Islam delsort. 03:35, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
  • Keep or merge. As I was saying on
WP:Partial title match reasoning doesn't hold up in this case. You can see this in pages like Jamiat Kheir, where the excerpt reads "Jamiat Kheir (Jam'iyyatou Khair; Arabic: جمعية خير; Arabic pronunciation: [dʒamʕijjatu xair]; different Latin spellings have also been used in the past, such as Djamiat Chair, Djameat Geir, Djamijat Chaer, Jam'iyyat khair or Jamiatul Khair)" Similar examples can be found on many pages that include Anglicized Arabic terminology. Perhaps there is a need to standardize transliterations on Wikipedia, but until then, it's necessary to consider different transliterations of the same word or concept as being the same, even if there are large discrepancies in the English spelling. WP:PTM, and Chagropango is correct that this is essentially the same as Jamiat: جماعت (assembly) is a Persian loanward from Arabic جماعة. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 18:21, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply
