Nominator's rationale: The only article in this category that is a "Major League Baseball website" is MLB.com. The rest of the websites were not created by MLB, are not operated by MLB, are not affiliated with MLB, are not sponsored by MLB and do not even cover MLB exclusively. Nominator's rationale:
WP:OVERLAPCAT. Even though "dynasty" and "empire" are often used interchangeably, and redirect to each other in countless cases, there are also cases of separate articles like Ottoman Empire versus Ottoman dynasty. Strictly speaking, the word "dynasty" only refers to the reigning house/family, and there is a Category:Dynasties by religion. I can pragmatically agree (at least for now) to the idea that "Hindu dynasty" only means that the reigning house/family of empire X adhered to Hinduism, even though it may not have been the law of the land of X (in which case it belongs in Category:Hindu governments, just like Category:Christian states, Category:Islamic states, etc., for which I recently created Category:Countries by state religion), let alone that the majority or even the entire population of X necessarily adhered to it (populations are rarely homogeneous). Therefore, manually merging Category:Historical Hindu empires to Category:Hindu dynasties when it was only the reigning family of X, or to Category:Hindu governments when Hinduism was actually the official state religion as enshrined in constitutions and laws of X, seems the best option. Those are completely different things. The List of kings of Cyrene ends in 30 BCE. Idris of Libya was Emir of Cyrenaica in 1949–1951, 2000 years later. And as I already said, governors are not "rulers" (see Category:Governors and heads of sub-national entities; sub-national is the important word here), because rulers are deemed to be sovereign (Category:Rulers is in Category:Sovereignty). Magas, Demetrios, Ptolemy VIII, and Ptolemy Apion all ruled the whole of Cyrenaica. The earlier kings of Cyrene ruled most of it ("Cyrenaica" means the "Cyrenean land" - the distinction is akin to "Athens" and "Attica"). Category:Cyrenaica covers both ancient Cyrenaica and 20th century Cyrenaica. I don't find excluding governors at all helpful for someone trying to work out who was in charge of the territory over time. Alright, how about Category:Political office-holders in Cyrenaica as a child of Category:Political office-holders by country? This splits into
  1. Category:Heads of state by country > Category:Heads of state of former countries > Category:Ancient Greek rulers > Category:Kings of Cyrene
  2. Category:Governors and heads of sub-national entities by country > Category:Ancient Roman governors by province > Category:Roman governors of Crete and Cyrenaica

  • Delete — All human activity involves politics, but the prefix "political" is more specific. Kings are not political office holders. (We've discussed this elsewhere.) Appointed governors and viceroys are office holders, and even heads of state, but not political office holders. A lifetime appointment may be gained politically, but is not a political office holder. For example, a US Supreme Court Justice is not a political office holder.

    Rock and Roll. In any case, a Folk festival might have a Blues performer and even a Medieval and Renaissance performer, a Bluegrass festival might have a Folk performer, etc. They are nevertheless very distinctive events. (Speaking as a classically trained professional musician, performer at ethnic, folk, medieval, and renaissance festivals, former sound director of the Ten Pound Fiddle, and long-time volunteer at the New England Folk Festival.)

Nominator's rationale: The men's and women's events are separate tournaments with wildly different histories. Only since 2018-19 have they been running as parallel tournaments, and so it makes sense to be able to split the men's and women's versions of the event. Otherwise, it muddles up the completely different, gendered predecessor tournaments i.e. there is no relation between the 2010–11 HRV Cup and the 2010–11 Action Cricket Twenty20 other than they were both T20 tournaments, so they shouldn't be categorised together. Nominator's rationale: Being a coach in any of these Twenty20 franchise leagues is

WP:NOTDEFINING for these people. Most of them are former cricketers themselves (lots of them international players), and the fact they have coached in these league is not an integral part of their career- for most of them, these coaching roles are mentioned only in passing or not at all in their articles. This is the same rationale as for the IPL coaches category, which has a consensus to delete. Montreal Impact U23's parent club was Montreal Impact, which was rebranded two years ago as CF Montréal.
