It depends what one mean by "originally". If you mean what it looked like a few hundred years ago when the monastery was in use, then no of course not. If you mean that's what it look like today (or rather, when I went there in December), then it does look like that originally. The lighting was put in place by the people running the site itself (i.e. National Trust).
