This works, but I'm not quite sure. Especially in three areas: 1. Making the difference between Candidate members and full members more clear. 2. Several Candidate members, Lange and Walde, basically left immediately after being elected, on 9 and 10 November respectively; how should I include that? 3. I think the sorting in general if off, I think it should be sorted like this: Chair, then Members, then Candidates, after that previous PB incumbents, then NVR members, SC members etc., after that Candidates that were Candidates in the previous PB. But I don't know how to do that. 4. There is a serious lack of sources in regard to the exact portfolio some of the Secretaries held. Rauchfuß, Sieber and Willending are all "Secretaries", but their responsibility? Maxwhollymoralground (talk) 14:53, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Help with editing templates.
I was attempting to edit the Asian Cuisine category in order to remove some red links. However, when I pressed the edit button, it instead took me to an "Asian Topic" template. Does anyone know where to go from here? Industrial Insect (talk) 15:57, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Link to where you are really looking? Category:Asian cuisine does not have
an "Asian Topic" template
(whatever that is). It does have:{{Cat main|Asian cuisine}} {{commonscat|Cuisine of Asia}}
- but that's it. So, where are you seeing this
"Asian Topic" template
? - —Trappist the monk (talk) 16:11, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- I got there through Chinese cuisine. After clicking edit on the category, it instead took me to edit Template:Asian topic. Industrial Insect (talk) 16:14, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- I feel like I'm having to pull your teeth out to get a complete answer. Always link to exactly where you are encountering the problem so that editors here don't have to pull teeth. Are you saying that you visited the Chinese cuisine article and at the bottom there found a collapsed navbox labeled 'Asian cuisine'? Did you then click the 'E' (edit) link (at the left) which took you to Template:Asian topic in edit mode? If you want to remove the red links from that navbox, Template:Asian topic is the correct place to do that. Remember that redlinks aren't all bad; if there is the possibility of an article for the redlinked topic, write one.

- Yes, that is what happened. Thank you. Industrial Insect (talk) 17:13, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- @Industrial Insect: The code in Chinese cuisine#External links says
{{Asian topic|| cuisine}}
. {{Asian topic}} is a general template to easily make a navbox with similar links to articles about a specific topic in all Asian countries, in this case cuisine. Do NOT edit the template. It will affect many aticles about other topics. See Template:Asia topic#Altering the link used for a specific entity for how to change the template call, but I suggest you leave it alone. Red links in systematic navboxes like this are allowed, and around 60 articles have the same{{Asian topic|| cuisine}}
, making the same red links in all those articles. PrimeHunter (talk) 21:24, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]- @Industrial Insect: On second look, {{Asian topic}} hasn't implemented the link override feature so the links would be hard to change. re-naming or titling of an entry
Hello. I was wondering please how to go about re-naming a page that is on your wikipedia lexicon. please? As I am not an editor and it was unlikely that I will become one , how can I put in a request to rename a page that has its' origins with myself? By that I mean that there is a mathematical theme to the page but is credited by a misnomer. Although my intention in the past was such that the misnomer was ok, today I would prefer otherwise please? Many thanks 2A02:C7F:2D35:A100:DDB5:53FA:1FEF:40AC (talk) 19:38, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Merely by participating here you are an "editor". Please see Requested Moves for information on retitling an article. 331dot (talk) 20:14, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- You should also know that the titles of articles usually go by the name they are referred to commonly in reliable sources. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 21:00, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Desaturated colours

Hello, I'm having an issue where certain templates and recent changes are super desaturated. I checked my .cs and .jss and deleted anything that looked like it could be the issue, but nothing worked. I also tried looking at my userpage while logged out and booting Firefox in troubleshooting mode, which also didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this? Grumpylawnchair (talk) 02:34, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- If the attachments are to illustrate desaturation, they don't look desaturated to me. Can you provide links instead of screenshots? This could be your local computer's display issue possibly? Podstawko ●talk 07:07, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- They look fine to me. File:Desaturated template.png looks like User:Fauzannaufan. File:Desaturated recent changes.png looks like Special:RecentChanges after I chose "Likely have problems" and enabled both settings under "Revision scoring on Recent changes and Related changes" at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rc. Help fix the reference name of Thailand's Princess at the Opening ceremony of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games
I need your help, I was going to put in the reference name of the dignitary in the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. Can you fix it the right way? I found it and read it in the Bangkok Post Newspaper. 108.21.67.83 (talk) 03:12, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
cc template to use
Hi Folks!!
What template would I use for "CC BY-SA 2.0 Deed" for the image at File:Loch a' Ghille Ghobaich.jpg
Thanks. scope_creepTalk 13:09, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- Do you mean this file? It appears to be Public domain owing to its date, in its original location in the Hunterian Museum. (Click on the image the Commons search gives to see the details). Mike Turnbull (talk) 14:26, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- It is on Commons already with the rather unhelpful name c:File:William York MacGregor (1855-1923) - Loch a' Ghille Ghobaich, Morar - GLAHA-43943 - Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery.jpg. Mike Turnbull (talk) 14:30, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
List of Releases by the Criterion Collection (REMOVED?!)
Please restore the above Wikipedia page! It makes no sense to remove it.
Where they have removed informative and useful Wiki pages, they will, in the end, remove human beings. 72.69.54.236 (talk) 14:03, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I have read the above message. I will reply when I have a moment. NotAGenious (talk) 14:07, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
- The comment above is a bit extreme to say the least and is not accurate in any manner. There was a discussion at Afd Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Criterion Collection releases (2nd nomination) and the consensus was it was unsuitable for Wikipedia and was deleted. Wikipedia is a not a catalogue. scope_creepTalk 14:13, 30 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
