Wikipedia:Inflationary hypothesis of Wikipedia growth

Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The inflationary hypothesis of Wikipedia growth, as well as its negation, the deflationary hypothesis of Wikipedia growth, were proposed by Diomidis Spinellis in 2008 while researching the growth of Wikipedia. In 2008, Spinellis and Panagiotis Louridas proposed the hypothesis that the Wikipedia's growth has been driven largely by the inclusion of red links, i.e. by references to articles that have not yet been written.[1]
