5	Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire		1,065,368		Godzilla fans noted that after the Japanese creators offered a 'fancy meal'-like movie with Godzilla Minus One, it was time for the Americans of the MonsterVerse to deliver the fast food equivalent, as the Big G beats up other kaiju, including some that King Kong discovered roaming the massive underground ecosystem of the Hollow Earth. Plenty of cinemagoers wanted to see giant monsters fighting, given Godzilla x Kong had one of the best Easter opening weekends, and remained strong atop the box office, having already passed $350 million worldwide.

7	Caitlin Clark		928,912		After driving up ticket sales for her final season attending the University of Iowa, the Hawkeyes' top basketball player again pushed them to the March Madness finals, while continuing her streak of wrecking as many NCAA records as possible (including TV viewership ones!). Standing against Clark in the finals are the South Carolina Gamecocks, led by Brazilian wunderkind Kamilla Cardoso.
8	Vontae Davis		871,903		Davis, a former football player, was found dead on April 1, with the cause of death unknown but foul play was not suspected. He was drafted in the first round by the Miami Dolphins, was traded to the Indianapolis Colts where he spent most of his career, and controversially retired from football mid-game in 2018 while playing for the Buffalo Bills.

10	Solar eclipse of April 8, 2024		830,629		On April 8, the Moon passed directly between the Earth and the Sun, obscuring the Sun for a bit and in its direct path causing the world to go dark. This eclipse gained particular attention for being the first in the United States since 2017, and the last until 2044.
11	Chance Perdomo		811,713		This actor, best known for his roles in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Gen V, died on March 29 or 30 in a motorcycle crash, aged only 27.

13	Zach Edey		661,736		This 7 ft 4 in (2.24 m) college basketball player is the star for the Purdue Boilermakers, who will play against the Connecticut Huskies on April 8 in the March Madness men's final. Later this year, he will play for Canada at the Olympics.
14	Shōgun (2024 miniseries)		650,977		Like #3, an acclaimed series (albeit on FX and Hulu, and releasing episodes weekly rather than all at once) that this here writer keeps on postponing to watch.
15	2024 Indian general election		566,967		The largest ever elections in the world will be held in India from April 19 to June 1, where 970 million people will elect 543 members of 18th Modi with his NDA alliance is competing for his third consecutive term against a big tent alliance of 41 parties led by Indian National Congress . Expect this entry to reach even higher as we witness the event.
16	Dune: Part Two		534,181		#5's success also extends to surviving another week on this list while its predecessors atop the box office Kung Fu Panda 4 and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire couldn't, though the biggest attention from Wikipedia readers remains with this sci-fi epic that's still here after a month, along with being the biggest hit of the year thus far (over $260 million domestically and $630 million worldwide).
17	Premier League		508,178		Ah yes, the natural extension of Indians looking for their cricket tournament (#1, #2) is accidental views for English football. Arsenal FC is currently leading with 7 rounds remaining, and remains to be seen if like last year they'll choke the title away.
18	Paige Bueckers		492,893		#7 faced a major challenge in the semifinals against the UConn Huskies, who had a tight defense to keep Iowa's scoring low but ultimately fell short, particularly due to a controversial offensive foul in the closing seconds. Still, Uconn's top player Paige Bueckers earned her time in the spotlight, closing a strong season averaging 22 points per game, and should bring even more attention in her senior year.
19	The Goat Life		492,727		This film, based on a 2008 novel, is based on the true story of a Malayali immigrant who was forced into slavery as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia. It released on March 28 to positive reviews, and has grossed ₹115 crores so far.
20	Sean Combs		466,390		The rapper currently known as Diddy is still in the news after his homes were raided by the DHS in March on a search warrant. On April 4, he was named as a defendant in one of the several sexual assault cases he is involved with.
21	Road House (2024 film)		463,013		Prime Video remade a 1989 cult classic starring Patrick Swayze as a bouncer, directed by Doug Liman (who is still owed the right to make an Edge of Tomorrow sequel!) and starring Jake Gyllenhaal .
22	Dan Schneider		449.595		The Sunday after this Report's cutoff date would have the final episode of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, showing how this producer created some successful children shows for Nickelodeon in the 90s and early 2000s but through a toxic work environment that hid many scandals.
23	Easter		446,769		The ever-moving holiday about resurrecting, albeit just like the one about his birth is associated with an old man in red, this one was taken over by a rabbit . And eggs are usually involved, preferably chocolate ones!
24	Havana syndrome		421,942		Havana, Cuba in 2016, over 1,000 U.S. officials stationed overseas have reported strange symptoms from pain and ringing ears to cognitive dysfunction. There is debate on if there is an actual cause or if it is just psychogenic, but a report published on April 1 by 60 Minutes suggests it is caused by Russian sonic weapons.
25	Ramy Youssef		421,096		Keeping off Beyoncé's newest album is the comedian who hosted Saturday Night Live. Ironically, aside from calling for a free Palestine and sharing his support for a trans woman president, Youssef actually mentioned Queen Bey in his monologue, naming the release of Cowboy Carter a religious celebration, equivalent to #23 and Ramadan.
