This Collaboration of the Fortnight is intended to work on essential topics that would go in a release version of Wikipedia. We no longer manage one article a fortnight; the interval is normally around a month per article.

The COTF was active from February 2006 until sometime after August 2008. Former COTFs are also listed at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Core topics/Past COTF.

1. Our first COTF, in February 2006, was

2. Technology – Done in February – March. Still needs a lot of work.
3. Humanities – March – April. Still needs a lot of work to broaden content, but getting close to a B.
4. Toy – Early May. A big improvement, but still needs more.
5. Business – Late May. Only a little got done here.
6. Science -- In June 2006.
7. Culture -- Ended July 6, made GA.
8. Community -- Ended July 24, nominated for GA.
9. Biotechnology -- Ended Aug. 6, little done.
10. Astronomy -- Ended Aug. 22. Article is now GA.
11. Nature -- Ended Oct 9. Article is now GA.
12. Geography -- Ended Oct 29. Somewhat improved, still a B.
13. Industry -- Ended Dec 2, 2006. Was very poor before, still basic but the foundations have been laid.
14. Sex Ended Jan 2, 2007. Much activity, but little apparent progress.
15. Confucius - Ended Jan 16. Sharpening of text, many refs added.

    - Ended Jan 29.
17. Metal - Ended Feb 22, 2007. A good amount of useful content added, but still needs work.
18. Chemical element - Ended Mar 21. Start -> B, much better.
19. Matter - Done in March - April. Much copyediting, but no expansion of content.
20. Energy (physics)
    - Ended May 14. Some copyediting, article in flux after splitting.
21. Climate - Ended June 4.
22. Europe - Ended June 22. Economy section added.
23. Asia - Ended July 15, minor work.
24. Social sciences
    - Ended August 31, little new content but good cleanup.
25. Fuel - Ended October 9, 2007, much work done and now fairly decent, approved for V0.7.
26. Personal life - Ended November 19, virtually no change.
27. Personal finance - Ended January 3, virtually no change.
28. Comedy - Ended February 7th, some improvement, etymology added.
29. Tool - Ended March 28, 2008
30. Entertainment - Ended April 22, 2008
31. Boat - Ended June 21, 2008
32. Flight - Ended August 15, 2008
33. Amazon rainforest - last collaboration picked before project became inactive.
