Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to the field of Education. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there.

Scope

This WikiProject aims to develop and standardize content related to education. WikiProject Education maintains and improves all articles within the Education category structure.

As of 20 March 2025, there are 15,824 articles within the scope of WikiProject Education, of which 33 are featured and 168 are good articles. This makes up 0.23% of the articles on Wikipedia, 0.29% of all featured articles and lists, and 0.41% of all good articles. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etc., there are 31,648 pages in the project.

Goals

  1. Identify articles for improvement, and improve them
  2. Identify articles needing to be started, and start them
  3. Coordinate with m:Wikiversity (on Meta; also on Wikibooks)
  4. Coordinate with Wikipedia:Education noticeboard and Wikipedia:Student assignments

Current

  1. Remove all articles tagged with WP:EDU, that are tagged by WP:SCH (
    WP:WPSCH
    ?)     If a article is about a school, university, or educational institution, it should have the schools tag
  2. Add the WP:EDU Project template to all Category talk pages
  3. Tag all WP:EDU article talk pages with {{WikiProject Education}}. See here for more details.

  2. Identify articles related to Education and add them to Category:Education (or one of its subcategories).
  3. Assess articles using the project template {{WikiProject Education
