Welcome to WikiProject Iran, a WikiProject that aims to collaboratively improve Wikipedia's articles related to Iran. If you are interested in participating in this important and ambitious task, we encourage you to join our board of editors by adding your name to the members page.
This project covers the creation, expansion and curation of articles related to Iran, its cantons, geography, history, economy, politics, society, people, culture and spirit. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on Iran in a fair and accurate manner. The project also serves as a centralized point of discussion for issues pertaining to Iran in Wikipedia.
Scope & Statistics
As of 16 April 2024, there are 72,796 articles within the scope of WikiProject Iran, of which 24 are featured and 169 are good articles. This makes up 1.07% of the articles on Wikipedia, 0.22% of all featured articles and lists, and 0.43% of all good articles. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etcetera, there are 182,982 pages in the project.

Note: Every province now has its own separate geo-stub template, although most of them lead into the main Iran geography stubs category. For a list of these templates, see the top of Category:Iran geography stubs. When there are sufficient stubs (60 or more) on any individual province, a separate geo-stub category will be established for it (any enquiries on this should go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting).
