This project welcomes new members. If you are interested in Screenwriting and wish to join, add your Username to the 'Participants' list, and invite Wikipedians who may find this WikiProject of interest. You can also help by indexing unlisted Screenwriting articles on Wikipedia:WikiProject Screenwriters/index , and by tagging article talkpages on Screenwriters and Screenwriting with a 'WikiProject Screenwriters' template (see below.)

This project is an effort to improve the articles on Screenwriters and Screenwriting at Wikipedia and to create a portal to encompass the totality of that knowledge. However per Wikipedia:WikiProject Film#Scope, articles in this project should not include the {{WikiProject Film}} banner, as that project does not include articles about actors, directors and filmmakers. Future tagging of bio articles relevant to specific task forces may become a future extension.

David Mamet, multi talented writer, occasional film director, cynic, teacher, and vocal opinionator.

Jane Espenson, prolific TV writer, insightful blogger, and all around humorist.

Michael Arndt, Academy Award winner for Best Original Screenplay, human being, and possible up-and-comer.
