Suggestion

Hi there! Could you guys please sort these requested articles on movies by country of origin? I'd love to write an article about some Russian movie, but I don't have the will to read through all of the red ink on this page. Thanx! KNewman (talk) 15:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Have a look on this page List of Russian films - there's tons of red links, esp on the sub pages for pre-1917 and 1917 to 1991. Lugnuts (talk) 19:09, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's true. However, this probably isn't a bad idea either. I'll look into maybe creating a sortable table with columns for title, year, director, country, and IMDb/AMG links. Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 19:19, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

Proposed merging of the

this discussion. If no one opposes, I'll do the merge in a few days time. Thanks. Lugnuts (talk) 07:47, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply

I must confess that I've been wanting to do this myself for a long time, but whenever I look at the mess at RA, I suddenly am rather loathe. I guess that's a backhanded way of saying "yes, by all means!" ;) Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 08:33, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the support (and all the hard work you've put in turning these redlinks to blue)! Lugnuts (talk) 19:32, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PS - there's no reason why we can't also include the requests for articles which are film-related but aren't films. Our scope does encompass most of the material still on the other page (with the exception of people). Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 20:09, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Previously deleated article for
If You Could Say it in Words

Greetings I know the previous article for

If You Could Say it in Words was deleted on the grounds of blatant advertising so I have recreated a stub for it. Although it has to be finished with more information and the bottom links added with year, etc. I wanted someone to take a look at it before I post it and correct any problems within the article so it does not get deleted again. I am not the original author but this is my first Wikipedia article so it’s very possible I misinterpreted some of the rules or wrote something incorrectly. Here is my draft I was also wondering if and how I can reference a face book page that shows the producers claiming they are being held from release because of looking for a distributor. Thanks in advance.http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Abangyarudo 10:59, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Abangyarudo (talk)[reply

WikiProjectFilms/Philippine cinema

Is it possible if we could have a Philippine cinema taskforce? There are several Philippine-produced movies here...

  • Filipino film stubs
  • List of Filipino films
If you request it on the
project talkpage, I'm sure you'll get some good feedback. Lugnuts (talk) 17:27, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply

Formatting

I suggest we better format this page; maybe just end each line with a semicolon or something. The way the titles all run into each other, it's somewhat unreadable. You can't tell where one title ends and another begins. Also, if you want to add some add'l information (as is done on most request pages), it's even worse. I added Witch Hunt (documentary), and offset with semicolons, so that my parenthetical didn't exacerbate the problem. TJRC (talk) 23:06, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've been meaning to do something with the layout for sometime. A quick copy/paste/maniuplate in Excel, and it's done. Thanks for giving me the motivation to do it! The list could be expanded to include the year or director, as some of the titles bring back multiple matches on IMDb, and it's not always clear which film this list refers to. Lugnuts (talk) 08:55, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I was going to start appending semicolons on each line, if no one objected, but this is cleaner. TJRC (talk) 22:06, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Links

Is there any way to get rid of blue links on the page?--Tim1357 (talk) 00:53, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kirk Jones

I'm not sure where to put a request for a British Director making American Films? Kirk Jones has directed Waking Ned and Everybody's Fine (2009 film). There is already an article at Kirk Jones so a dab page may be needed. A local entertainment guide in Bristol has just published an interview with him which includes various biographical details (schools & colleges etc) & was I just going to add links to his article & was surprised not to find one. Can anyone help?— Rod talk 21:03, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Moderated?

Is the project page being moderated? There's quite a bunch of articles already made. --ConCelFan (talk) 07:55, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I used to patrol it to remove the created ones, remove spam, etc. I'll have a look at it. Thanks for the heads-up. Lugnuts (talk) 08:12, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know this :) --ConCelFan (talk) 10:13, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No probs - you can also remove blue links once articles have been created. Lugnuts (talk) 14:06, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mountaintop Motel Massacre

After several years in an insane asylum, Evelyn, the keeper of the Mountaintop Motel, is released and resumes doing business. She kills her young charge out of anger, but convinces the police it was an accident - and pushed into insanity, she then proceeds to target her guests, first by releasing vermin into their rooms, but then by using her trusty sickle... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.170.164.114 (talk) 08:21, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Film"?

We're still calling them "Film"s, but most new movies never had film in the camera. Might there be a more inclusive word? "Movie"s, perhaps? Gil (talk) 15:28, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Publishing an article on Moin-ud-din

Hi All, Glad to come across the Indian Film TaskForce. I was wondering if you could write an article on Moin-ud-din who was an Indian screenwriter and has written many movies which are already part of Wikipedia library. Unfortunately, since I am his son - I am hesitant the article might violate the Conflict of Interest for Wikipedia. I tried finding a lot of resources, citations for him but none of them is published in reliable resources which Wikipedia refers to. I have added the content to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Moin-ud-din. You may review and make the necessary changes as needed for publishing it. Please consider this as a humble request for the information to the public as well as for the honour of the person.
