Marshall Abraham Shires (February 12, 1917 – July 23, 1993) was an
1941 NFL Draft.[5] However, due to military service during World War II, Shires did not make his debut in the National Football League until the 1945 NFL season and as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.[6] He was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 1995.[3]
