Aboubakary Sacko (born 31 January 2003) is a French professional footballer who plays for Canadian Premier League club Atlético Ottawa.

Early life

Born in France, Sako is of Malian heritage,[1] holding both nationalities.[2] He began playing youth football at the age of five with RC Arpajonnais.[3] Afterwards, he played for CS Brétigny and FC Fleury 91.[3][4] In 2016, Sacko joined the youth system of French club Le Havre, joining on a five year developmental contract.[5][6] In 2019, he was honoured as one of their top three U17 players.[7]

Club career

In 2021, he began playing at the senior level with

Le Havre II in the fifth tier Championnat National 3.[8]

In March 2023, he signed a two-year contract with Canadian Premier League club Atlético Ottawa,[9][10][11][12] which was his first professional contract.[13]
