The Accokeek were a group of
Piscataway, another Algonquian-language tribe.[2]
Accokeek, Maryland, a small unincorporated town in Maryland, was named after the Accokeek[3] tribe.[4][5]
Accokeek means "at the edge of the hill".[6][clarification needed]
