Dinamo Zagreb. Calello made a total of 51 league appearances for Independiente, also featuring in one Copa Sudamericana

On December 15, 2008, Callelo was transferred to Dinamo Zagreb for a reported fee of €2.2 million. He signed a 5+1⁄2-year contract for his new club.
