Andh Bhakt (Blind Devotee,

Hindi: अंध भक्त) is a term used in India by the supporters of current opposition INDIAAlliance for anyone who either don't agree with Congress Manifesto or supports the policies of the currently ruling Modi Government.[1][2][3] This term is coined by an Aam Aadmi Party youtuber Dhruv Rathee.[4]

Background

Bhakt, derived from the Sanskrit language, refers to a devotee. For instance, Shabri was a devoted follower of Ram, while Kalidas was a devotee of Kali. On the other hand, Andh Bhakt is a term formed by combining "Andh" meaning blind, and "Bhakt" meaning devotee or follower.
