The BQM-106 Teleplane (designated XBQM-106) was an experimental remotely piloted vehicle (RPV) developed by the United States Air Force’s Flight Dynamics Laboratory (FDL) beginning in 1975.[1] As part of the FDL-33 series, it was designed to function as a testbed for evaluating technologies related to small, low-cost drones.[2][3] The Teleplane project also manufactured techniques and examined military uses for expendable RPVs during the Cold War.[4] The program ended in early 1986 without advancing to operational deployment.
