Bhajantrilu is a 2007 Indian

Telugu film, directed by the renowned comedian M. S. Narayana and starring Sivaji, Vikram, Sushmita and Sivani. The film was released on 1 November 2007.[1]
It was not very successful.

Plot

Two brothers, Shivaji and Vikram decides to kidnap Sushmita, a bride-to-be, and demand a ransom of 10 lakhs from her father, Kota Srinivasa Rao. However, Sushmita's father is unwilling to pay the amount, revealing his true character. Despite being kidnapped, Sushmita develops a liking towards Shivaji and eventually falls in love with him. As they spend time together, Shivaji and Vikram reveal their motives for resorting to kidnapping. Sushmita encourages them to demand more money from her father and expresses her reluctance to return home due to her father's intentions of marrying her off to someone unworthy.

The film's muhurat shot took place on 2 July 2007.[2] This is M. S. Narayana's second film with his son Vikram after Koduku (2004).[3]

Reception

A critic from Nowrunning wrote that "This is not to mean that Bhajantrilu doesn't have any good comedy scenes. There are a few good scenes, but the bad scenes far out number the good ones".[5]
