William Francis Garton (born 15 March 1965) is an English
centre-back, most notably for Manchester United and Birmingham City. He works as a youth coach for San Diego Surf
in the United States.
Career
Garton made his
chronic fatigue syndrome.[3] He later played for local clubs, managed Salford City, and taught.[3][4]
Garton emigrated to San Diego, California, in 2001[3] and co-founded the Carmel Valley Manchester youth soccer club.[5] He continued his involvement with youth soccer in the San Diego area with clubs including the Del Mar Carmel Valley Sharks,[6] Albion SC[7] and San Diego Surf.[8]
