Sir Charles Arnold White (1858 – 6 September 1931) was a British lawyer who served as the
Chief Justice of the Madras High Court
from 1899 to 1914.
Early life and education
White was born in 1858 to Thomas John White of
called to the bar
in 1883.
Career
White served as the
Chief Justice of the Madras High Court.[2] In 1914, White was appointed to the Council of India. He also served as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Madras.[3]
Honours
White was made a Knight Bachelor in 1900.
