Production
In November 2022, it was reported that filming is currently in progress.[13]
In an interview, director Lee Byeong-heon said, "We recently finished filming and will be released on Netflix at the earliest at the end of 2023, or early next year at the latest".[14]
Reception
The show was review-bombed by Saudi viewers who rated it one star on sites such as IMDb for allegedly "disrespecting" the Saudi royal family with a joke in the final episode.[15] In the episode, the Saudi royal family wants tickets to Yellow Pants's (the now-successful Go Baek-joong's stage name) concert. Go asks "Who makes such requests these days?", not wanting to grant their request, but eventually decides to give them seats at the back of the theater. In response to the outrage, a representative of the production said, "The only intent was to showcase the Yellow Pants, Ahn Jae Hong's character, and his popularity around the world that even the royal family wished to see him perform live."[16]
