Chris Williamson (born 23 February 1988) is an English
Early life and education
Williamson was born in 1988[citation needed] in Stockton-on-Tees, North East England. He played cricket as a child and played for the Durham Academy.[1] Whilst studying at Newcastle University he began a career in nightclub promotion.[1]
Career
Williamson was a contestant on Take Me Out in 2012[1] before gaining wider public attention on the first season of Love Island[2] in 2015, but didn't feel he belonged on the show.[1]
Modern Wisdom
In 2018, Williamson started his own podcast show, Modern Wisdom, with the subtitle "life lessons from the smartest people on the planet". He discusses current events, politics, philosophy, science and hobbies with a variety of guests including
As of February 2024, the show had 1.87 million subscribers on YouTube and over 400 million downloads.[3]
