Career

Lawrence was born in October 1876, the eldest son of Sir

Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1918.[1][2][3]

Lawrence was taken ill after a meeting of the National Hunt in Cheltenham, where his aunt lived; his condition quickly worsened and he died,[1] on 13 March 1926,[2] aged 49 He left behind a widow, Mildred Margaret, daughter of Rev. Edward Parker Dew of Breamore, and their daughter, Domini Margaret (b. 1925).[1][3]
