History

A post office called Coatsburgh was established in 1856, and the name was changed to Coatsburg in 1893.[3] The village has the name of Robert Coats, a first settler.[4]

Coatsburg is located at 40°1′57″N 91°9′34″W / 40.03250°N 91.15944°W / 40.03250; -91.15944 (40.032493, -91.159561).[5]
