Cumberland Valley Township is a township in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,450 at the 2020 census.[2]

Geography

The township is located in southern Bedford County in the Cumberland Valley, a narrow

Evitts Creek, a tributary of the North Branch Potomac River, flows southwards through the valley, and U.S. Route 220
passes through the center of the valley as well.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 60.2 square miles (156.0 km2), of which 59.7 square miles (154.5 km2) is land and 0.58 square miles (1.5 km2), or 0.98%, is water.[3]

The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 2.91.

In the township the population was spread out, with 23.1% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 26.4% from 25 to 44, 27.1% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females, there were 107.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.4 males.
