Background

Ansell was born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.

Playing career

Ansell played junior rugby league for the Stanley Rangers ARLFC before being signed by the Huddersfield Giants.[4]

Ansell joined the Hunslet Hawks in 2012 from the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.[5][6]

He made his début for Wales in 2016, playing against Italy.[2] He was named in Wales 2017 Rugby League World Cup squad.[7]

His uncle, Barry Eaton, played in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup.[4]
